AUTHORS

A total of 289 summaries were submitted to the PHYSOR-2004 meeting and have been reviewed.  Thank you to all authors for your support of what looks to be a very interesting and full meeting.

We are in the process of notifying all authors of the results of the technical review of their summary.  If you have not received a notification by December 5, 2003, please send e-mail (include your tracking ID) to physor2004@anl.gov.  We hope to be completed with this process soon.

An open letter describing the technical review process is available here.  All papers which have been "accepted" or "accepted with comments" will be included in the preliminary program.  Authors must submit their full-length paper by February 2, 2004 to remain in the final program.  For all other papers, authors may submit a full-length paper which will be technically reviewed to determine if it will be included in the final program.  Before submitting a full-length paper for a previously rejected summary, please contact the Technical Program Committee at physor2004@anl.gov so that the appropriate peer-review team can be formed.

The following four items must be submitted in order for a full-length paper to be included in the proceedings:

  • The full-length paper in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, sent via e-mail to physor2004@anl.gov.

  • A separate 200-word abstract (Word format), sent via e-mail to physor2004@anl.gov.

  • A print copy of the full-length paper, sent via regular mail to

Dr. Roger Blomquist

Publications Chair, PHYSOR-2004

Argonne National Laboratory

9700 S. Cass Avenue, Building 208

Argonne, Illinois 60439 USA

  • Authors must also complete an ANS copyright release form (available here).  The signed copyright release must be sent via regular mail to R. Blomquist at the address given above.

A document with instructions for submitting full-length papers is now available for download.  This document also serves as a template for the format of full-length papers.  Please carefully review this document, as all papers must comply with this format to guarantee inclusion in the proceedings.  Full-length papers in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format must be e-mailed to physor2004@anl.gov.  Guidelines for creating quality Adobe Acrobat files are available from the ANS website.  (Please note that PHYSOR-2004 is using a different proceedings template than that available at the ANS website.)

Although the full proceedings will be available only in an electronic form (distributed as a CD-ROM), a printed abstract book describing all papers will be provided to all meeting attendees.  An abstract for this book, not exceeding 200 words, must be emailed as a separate Microsoft Word e-mail attachment to physor2004@anl.gov.

Authors will present their papers orally at the meeting, and are expected to register for the meeting.  Some papers will be accepted for a poster session, either by recommendation of the Technical Program Committee or by the author’s request.  Full-length papers for papers presented at the poster session will be included in the proceedings.  Authors who prefer to include their paper in the poster session instead of as an oral presentation should submit a request by December 12, 2003 to physor2004@anl.govInstructions for the poster session and formatting guidelines are available for download here.
